Harvard's OpenScholar is a Drupal-Based platform that offers one click creation and easy customization of personalized websites: http://openscholar.harvard.edu/. While Harvard's implementation is focused on faculty websites, the University of Wisconsin is piloting a version of OpenScholar for collaborative group and course websites (dubbed "WiScholar").
This session will offer beginners and those not familiar with OpenScholar an overview of its main functions. For tweakers and coders, it will give a brief overview of the modules that power OpenScholar's virtual sites and user configuration interface.
